These friendly one-day workshops are suitable for absolute beginners through to experienced printmakers who’d like to learn a new technique. Meet for coffee, go upstairs to make plates in the morning in her studio, break for lunch (please bring a packed lunch) & then move downstairs to the print room to start printing in the afternoon. Bring an apron or overalls, it can get messy! You'll also need to bring a greyscale (Black and white) transparency. It must be the same size as the finished print you require and can be drawn by hand, photocopied or digitally printed. Paula will send detailed instructions after booking. Maximum of 5 people in each workshop. Some materials are included printing plates & paper are sold at cost: - Smaller plates suitable for beginners A5 £8.56 or A4 £14.14 - Larger plates suitable for printmakers with experience of intaglio printmaking A3 £24.00, A2 £48.00Each workshop costs £95 per person and there’s space for 5 students in each workshop.

Mentoring for painters - in person
I offer one-to-one mentoring for artists in their studios or via a video call. I specialise in painting but am also an experienced printmaker. My mentoring focusses on finding what motivates you; I aim to help you find focus and ways of finding your own unique creative voice. As a professional painter I can also advise on how to develop your career. I am an experienced tutor and mentor. I have taught on a distance learning Painting BA Hons course at the Open College of the Arts since 2020 and have mentored, in person, for the Turps East Sussex Programme since 2023. I completed my training at the Royal Academy Schools in 1993 and have worked as a professional artist ever since.
